FAQ
Answers for the lawn mowing cost calculator. Visible content here matches the FAQPage structured data on this page.
Is this a binding lawn care quote?
No. Results are editable planning estimates only. Local access, disposal, grass height, travel, and provider policies can change actual pricing.
Do I need an account or do you store my lawn data?
No. Calculations run in your browser. This MVP has no accounts, databases, analytics cookies, checkout, or customer-data collection.
How is lawn area handled?
Enter square feet directly, or acres. Acres convert with the editable constant shown in the tool (default 43,560 sq ft per acre). Fractional square feet are kept internally and shown after conversion.
What do the frequency presets mean?
Weekly uses 4.33 visits per month, every two weeks uses 2.17, and monthly uses 1.00. These are convenience presets; you can type any positive visits-per-month value.
What does difficulty change?
Difficulty multiplies the area-based mowing component before the minimum-visit floors apply. Defaults are easy 0.85, standard 1.00, and difficult 1.50. You can enter a custom positive multiplier.
Are the default prices market rates?
No. Every numeric default is an illustrative product setting with a source label and capture date. Edit them to match your own assumptions before relying on a range.
Why is there a low and a high number?
The tool computes parallel low and high paths from editable low/high rates, minimums, and add-ons so you can inspect a planning band instead of a single invented price.
Where can I see the exact formula?
Open the Methodology page. It lists every live default, the capture date, rounding rules, and worked examples that match the deterministic tests.
Open the calculator or read Methodology.
